CAPACITY STRENGHTHENING FOR FRAGILE CONTEXTS (C4FC):
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
SADAR is implementing the Community-led Capacity Strengthening for Fragile Contexts (C4FC) project with World Vision (WV) and its consortium members CARE International-Somalia to improve the self-reliance and sustainability for 31 Local Nongovernment organizations (LNGOs) in Somalia (11), Sudan (10) and South Sudan (10) on the front lines of providing humanitarian assistance collectively reaching 67,124 beneficiaries, including 39,603 women and 27,521 men in the three countries.
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the C4FC project is to establish and promote an ecosystem for peer-to-peer learning, scaling, and adaptive management that will strengthen the organizational systems of selected LNGOs, support the established humanitarian architectures in these countries and provide innovative approaches to strengthen the capacity of local organizations who are on the front-lines of responding to humanitarian disasters. To this effect SADAR Institute is leading a co-creative process between INGO, LNGOs, government and partners to identify the existing best practices in disaster risk management planning, incorporate indigenous practices and insight and develop a Community Driven Resilience approach.
Partners Capacity Building System: With support from the World Vision Global Capacity Building Advisor (GCVP), SADAR Institute is leading a co-creative institutional capacity strengthening trainings and workshops with (40) target LNGOs and (14) Mentor LNGOs to identify key milestones in organizational development which will support them to graduate to higher levels of capabilities.
