Peace and Security

OBJECTIVES

The objective of Peacebuilding is to connect people and communities, religious groups and grassroots organizations with policymakers with local, regional, national governments and Non-governmental organisations. SADAR  aims to support the training and development of a work force that can resolve conflicts, build societies, institutions, policies, and relationships that are better able to sustain peace and justice while at the same time addressing issues of human rights, economic prosperity, and environmental sustainability.

SADAR is hosting the University for Peace in Somalia which has been training the next group of leaders for peace. It is a unique global academic institution that offers Master’s and Doctoral degree programmes that trains and develops leaders to explore and formulate strategies and practices in various contexts to address the  multiple causes of problems affecting human and global wellbeing, and thus contribute to the processes of peacekeeping and peacebuilding in the horn of Africa.
